Pruning Apple Trees: How and When For Both Old And Young Trees - Duration: Seeds of Change , views. Putting delicious food on the table doesn't get more fulfilling--or fresher--than this! I can’t resist. I figure little or no harm should come as long as I choose carefully what to cut. One reason not to prune now is that any wounding — and pruning does wound — stimulates a certain amount of cellular activity near the cut at a time when plants should be hunkering down for winter. This is a great book and tells you all about pruning and maintaining plant and tree health in your garden. I didn't know where to start, but this book makes it so clear and easy to understand with a step by step illustrated guide of how to prune your fruit trees and other plants in the garden.

The exact categorization of fruits can be a little confusing and has no bearing on the long held belief that a fruit is sweet while a vegetable is savory. Basically, if it has seeds, it’s a fruit (or an ovary such as nuts), and if not, it’s a vegetable.   In the section below I’ve offered a few suggestions for combining hydrating fruits and vegetables into tasty juices. Keeping in mind that individual tastes vary, I’ve included at least one of each type of juice (all-fruit, fruit-vegetable blend, and all-vegetable). Canta-berry with a Twist. 1 .
